Job Description:
 Take　ownership　of　database　administration　
 Tune　application　databases　for　performance,　including　profiling　of　SQL　queries　
 Architect　new　database　solutions　
 Maintain　data　standards　and　security,　including　adherence　to　the　legal　requirements　and　other　requirements　as　needed　
 Write　database　documentation,　including　data　standards,　procedures,　and　definitions　for　the　data　dictionary　
 Ensure　that　storage,　archiving,　backup,　and　recovery　procedures　are　functioning　correctly　
 Capacity　planning　
 Work　closely　with　Systems,　QA　and　Development　teams　
 Other　duties　as　assigned

Qualifications:
 Expert　level　database　management　and　administration　skills,　MySQL　preferred　
 Have　understanding　of　Java
 Extensive　experience　interpreting　data　models　and　developing　database　structures　for　scalable　applications,　specifically　web　driven　social　networks　
 Excellent　communication　skills　
 Extensive　experience　maintaining　large　multi-server　database　environments,　including　administration,　troubleshooting　and　performance　tuning　
 Experience　in　developing　and　manipulating　large,　complex　data　sets　
 Experience　working　in　a　scheduled　24-hour　on-call　environment　
 Technical　writing　skills
 Good　English　skills　(CET-6)
